This is a museum quality reproduction of a Norse brooch from the 14th Century. It shows the the classical Viking longboat. The original was found in an archaeological excavation in Norway.

This Deer is bases on a wood carving found in the Ancient Runes Stave Church in Norway. It shows one of the four immortal deer who browse among the leaves of the world tree, an Ash tree that maintains the fabric of the universe called Yggdrasil.

The Vikings knew about lions, although they were not native to the lands the Viking lived in. They respected the animal whose kingship over other beasts was told of in stories from faraway lands. The Lion was a symbol of indvincibility, and so the Vikings, like all other warrior nations, honored it's spirit.

Loki is the old Norse god of the Underworld. He is a trickster spirit, as well as a helper. He has sovereignty over fire, and is therefore associated with the kitchen. Loki has extensive magic powers, and often comes to the aid of magicians and sorcerers. It is said that one must be careful what one asks of Loki, because he just might give it to you.

The Norse God of Thunder Thor carried, as his chosen weapon, the Hammer named Mjollnir. That hammer's blows were believed to be the cause of lightning. It was said to be powerful enough to crack mountains and would always return to Thor's hand after being thrown. Thor's Hammer is a symbol of a warrior's power; although Thor himself was known, not for his power, but for his ability to take pain without complaint, and for his strength and generosity.
